The Tantrum was designed with the competitor in mind. I have tried to learn from my experiences in
competition and build a kite that not only will perform well in competition but also, would be 􀂳just plain
fun to fly􀂴. A lot of the newer style tricks put a lot of stress on certain areas of the kite. I have taken great
care to reinforce these areas.
The complete trailing edge is hemmed in 3.9 Dacron, doubled in areas of high stress during yo-yo based
tricks.
The bridle is easily replaced without disassembling any part of the kite. Leaders are provided to save
wear on your lines.
A variable weight system is provided to tune the kite to taste or wind conditions. The center brass weight
is 20 gm. The outer steel weights are 5, 10, and 15 gm each. When using the outer weights, place the two
O rings on the spine, above the weights, to help keep them in place.
Upper LE is Skyshark P 200 cut to 71.5 cm
Lower LE is Skyshark P 200 cut to 71.5 cm
Upper spreader is Avia .2200 cut to 46.5 cm
Lower Spreaders are Skyshark 5 PT cut to 71.5 cm.
Spine is Skyshark P200. It is in two pieces. The upper is 71.5 cm and the

lower is 14.5 cm. They are joined by a 2400 ferrule.
Standoffs are .118 microcarbon. Inner is 25 cm and outer is 26 cm not including any fittings
Should you need to remove one of the C-clips or if one should become lost, make sure both sides are
even when replacing with a new part. If you are unable to compare each side, you may measure from the
end of the Leading Edge. Measure up 49 cm from the end of the rod (DO NOT INCLUDE THE NOCK)
to the bottom of the lower APA. This is where the lower fitting goes. The distance between the upper
and lower APAs, center to center, is 64 cm.
The yo-yo stoppers can also be placed using the same method. The distance from the top of the LE to the
stopper is set at 55 cm. This can be adjusted a small amount by sliding the stoppers up or down within the
cutout. In general, if you notice that the kite 􀂳bounces􀂴 while flying in the 􀂳wrapped􀂴 position, raise the
stoppers slightly. Raising them a bit in higher wind can also help reduce some of the stress on the kite
during 􀂳wrapped􀂴 flight.

看过楼上继续补充的图片又学习了些知识(wanpihou3) ，感谢~
这个TANTRUM比VIPER小7英寸（17.78厘米），继承了VIPER的精准度与操控性。翻滚动作backspin陀螺和multilazy后仰连续苏珊会很好做（在风区的任意位置），jacbos ladder阶梯类动作很出色。YOYO类动作等待时间会长一些慢一些，在做WAPDOOWAP或者类似动作时候会有更多的时间来准确控制每个点。

少之又少的TANTRUM的视频，虽然古老，但是非常经典,值得翻出来看看（飞行者RON GRAZIANO)

In the lower Leading Edges. Pull bungie cord tight and lock into the nock. Replace the vinyl end cap.
The nocks have a small piece of .2400 rod, lightly glue in place. This allows
for the use of a smaller nock,
making the end of the rods less prone to snags.
Insert lower spreaders, making sure that the bridle is free. Insert standoffs and upper spreader.
To add weight set, insert 20 gm pin in the end of the spine and close Velcro. To use outside weights,
remove pin and place the chosen weight on the outside of the spine. Replace the pin and cover with the
supplied end cap. This will help keep the weight in place. In the event that the weights slip, place the
supplied O-rings on the spine, above the weight. These will press fit on the weight and keep it in place.
Leading edge tensioning
The leading edges on the VENDETTA are tensioned using a bungie cord. This allows for
some give in the sail, in the case of an 􀂳unplanned landing􀂴. They should be just tight enough to remove
most of the wrinkles in the Leading Edge. If they become too loose, the knots may re-tied, by pulling
them out from the LE and shortening them.
Bridle
The VENDETTA uses a 3 point bridle
Upper outhaul 59 cm
Lower outhaul 53 cm
Inhaul 67cm
‘This has been found to be the 􀂳sweet spot􀂴 for the kite and can be used in all but the most extreme
conditions. Angle of attack may be adjusted at the larkshead, at the tow point. Be sure to leave the
larkshead knot on the outside of the locator knot on the inhaul. Failure to do so, could lead to bridle
slippage or failure. In lighter wind, you may adjust the upper outhaul using the knots at the upper LE
fitting. These knots may also be used, in the case of severe bridle stretching. Move up one knot and
adjust to proper specs, using the larkshead.
Caring for the Vendetta
While I􀂶ve tried to make sure the VENDETTA will give you many hours of enjoyment, some
precautions can help in lengthening the lifespan
Should the kite get wet, assemble the kite fully and let dry as soon as possible. Nylon has the ability to
return to its original shape quite well. This is important, as kite sails tend to stretch when flown in the
rain. Drying properly will also keep any mold from forming on the kite due to the moisture.
If you fly on a beach or in sandy conditions most of the time, the sand will get in the LE tunnels and
start to wear the sail and the frame. It is a good idea to wash the sand out periodically using a hose or
other means. Assemble the kite fully to dry.
